Do you have this one dress from the 1890s you absolutely wanted to draw your favorite character in, but never found the time to do so? Do you burn to put some more development into that one historically accurate pirate AU you did not have the chance to develop further just yet?Now! Here is your golden opportunity!THROUGH THE AGES: A One Piece Historical AU Zine is a chance to do just that! All contributions will adhere to a particular historical period - that's right! An entire art book, dedicated to historical alternate universe scenarios, featuring our favorite pirates, marines, revolutionaries, and civilians!

What is this zine about? What kind of pieces are you looking for?Through The Ages is a zine that seeks to showcase One Piece characters in real-life historical settings, in both clothing and scenarios. Think Nami as a Flapper in the 1920s singing in a nightclub, Robin exploring Roman ruins, Belo Betty smashing the Berlin Wall, Iceburg and Paulie at the first World’s Fair.We are looking for pieces from not only recent decades but also from centuries past, such as The Golden Age of Piracy (between 1650s and the 1730s), The Renaissance, etc.Is there a certain genre that the pieces need to be? Are you limiting the number of pieces per period/era?Nope, pieces can be comedic, angsty, dramatic, etc.Mods will be taking into account pitches from all contributors to make sure that there is a nice range of both piece genres and periods/eras so that Through The Ages has a nice spread.Are there any “don’ts” in regard to pitches/pieces?First and foremost, we expect all contributors to show respect for the history and cultures they are representing through their pieces and to do research for their pieces as needed.As there has recently been a mythology zine within the fandom, as well as this zine is focused on alternative universe content grounded in historical settings, we would like all pieces to be grounded in non-fictional/non-mythical/non-fantastical elements.In regards to general “don’ts”, pitches/pieces cannot contain/be:- Mythologies from any culture
- Bible stories from any religion
- Time Travel AUs
- Futuristic AUsExample: A piece about ancient Greece could be about Franky and Iceburg as scholars debating shipbuilding but should not feature them as Greek gods or heroes.Will the zine be digital or physical?This zine will be both physical and digital.Is this zine for-profit or for-charity?Whether this zine is for-profit, for-charity, or profit/charity split will be determined by the IC.Is NSFW allowed? What is the rating of the zine?This zine will only be SFW. All content should not surpass PG-13 rating.Do I have to create a new piece for the zine?Every contributor will need to create a new piece within the timeline of the zine.What is the age requirement of the zine?All contributors must be 18 or older at the time of application.How will contributors be compensated?All contributors will get a PDF copy of the zine at minimum. If sales allow, then they will also get a copy of the zine/a full bundle.How many contributors are you accepting?This is to be determined after the Interest Check.Where will the product be shipped from?TBD after a shipping mod has been found.Can I post WIPs during the creation period?No, all work that pertains to your zine piece is not allowed to be shared whether it’s a social media post or streaming. There will be a designated preview period where a portion of your piece will be shown, but you are not allowed to share your piece until directed to by the mod team.
